All full-time members of the team are entitled to the benefits listed in this document. If you have any doubts regarding any of the benefits, feel free to ask!

  • Hire kit. All new members of the team receive the following to outfit their workspace:
    • 13" MacBook Pro Laptop
    • 27" Monitor
    • Wireless Keyboard similar to the Apple Magic Keyboard
    • Wireless Mouse similar to MX Master 2S
  • Gear budget. BNB will set aside $50 each month into a discretionary fund for you to purchase1 any2 necessary hardware, software or other tools you might need to ensure that you are able to get your job done as smoothly as possible.
  • Workspace Upgrades. Every three years BNB will buy you a new Laptop, and the old one is yours to keep. If any of the other hardware in your hire kit fails, we'll replace it.
  • Virtual Machine. The engineering team does the majority of their development on virtual machines in the cloud. BNB will set you up with your own dedicated VM to do all your development heavy lifting.
  • Health Insurance. BNB will pay 100% of the premiums for health and dental insurance policies for you, your partner, and your dependent children. A brochure for this plan is available upon request. If you would rather obtain health insurance through some other channel, BNB will pay you a $200/month stipend.
  • Life Insurance. If our insurance provider accepts your application, BNB will pay for a $50k life insurance policy in your name.
  • Disability Insurance. If our insurance provider accepts your application, BNB will pay for a Short Term / Long Term disability insurance policy that pays 60% of your salary for up to 42 months.
  • Fitness Stipend. Your physical health is important to us. We pay an additional $100/month on top of your salary for you to use for staying fit.
  • Paid Time Off. 20 total days of PTO per calendar year to be taken at your leisure. We do not observe any federal/bank/other holidays. Unused vacation days roll over into the next year. In your first calendar year you will have immediate access to a representative percentage of your paid time off.
  • Flexible time. We look at results, not hours. All members of the team have the right to work flexible hours, compatible with the client's requirements and those of other team members. If you have any doubts, ask the client and your colleagues.
  • Parental Leave Pledge. BNB wants to make sure that when you add a child to your family, we're there to support you.
  • Paid Jury Service BNB provides up to five days of regular pay for actual jury service for full-time employees of the business.
  • Retirement Contribution Matching. BNB will match retirement fund contributions to your BNB IRA up to 3% of your salary.
  • Remote work. Our culture is absolutely remote-first. It is possible at any time to work remotely, whether you want to do it for a day, a year or indefinitely.
  • Team retreats. Each year we organize a team retreat where we work and have fun together. The purpose of these meetings is to let members of the team who work in different offices or remotely socialize; you are encouraged to take part!
  • Learning stipend. We provide full reimburesement for industry-related books and industry-related conferences up to $1,500/year/person.
  • A Frequent Sandwich Once a week, we'll pick up the tab for lunch. Local teams normally go out to lunch together. If you're solo-remote, traveling, or just don't feel like hanging out this week: we'll pick up the tab for lunch delivered to you.3
  • BNBIRL We value relational equity. It makes being a remote-first company work. Seeing each other as real people (with real challenges as well as real strengths) makes for a better team. So we encourage folks to spend time together, on the clock. Local teams get together for lunch on a regular basis. With folks scattered across the US, you don't have to go too far out of your way to grab coffee with another BNB'er while traveling. If you're solo-remote, traveling far far away, or just don't feel like putting on pants: virtual time together is a very close and acceptable alternative.
